Rockies left-field hunky heartthrob, Matt Holliday, can been seen on TV today, and throughout the month of March, even before the 2008 MLB season starts. This is because Holliday was hand-picked by Nike to be one of the national spokespeople for its new Nike SPARQs "My Better"campaign.
This 2007 NLCS MVP and NL MVP runner-up is being paired for this high-profile Nike campaign alongside some of the biggest names in the sports industry today including Steve Nash, LaDainian Tomlinson, Kevin Durant, Abby Wambach, Hope Solo, and Diana Taurasi.
This "multi-media campaign" just launched in conjunction with the NCAA Conference Championship Week. The campaign blitz will run on major networks throughout March - and you can be sure the ads will run over and over and over again throughout "March Madness." (Ed. Note: Be sure to fill in your brackets starting Monday!)
In case you care, SPARQ stands for Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness.
